Enjoy the benefits of hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy PoolOur well-established hydrotherapy pool was completed at the Clinic in Fontwell in 2008. It is open Monday to Friday, with some evenings and weekends as well. It is an additional benefit to all patients.

The use of exercise in the pool is a great help in easing conditions such as arthritis and back pain, for rehabilitation after operations such as hip or knee replacements and for musculo-skeletal disorders generally.

Jayne BradleyYou do not have to be able to swim to have hydrotherapy. The pool is quite shallow so you can exercise well within your depth. The water temperature in the pool is maintained at about 35°C, which is much warmer than a normal swimming pool.

The warm temperature of the water helps your muscles to relax and the water supports your weight, which makes it easier to exercise. This helps to ease pain in your joints and can also increase your range of movement.

If claiming through a medical insurance patients need to gain confirmation of cover and referral from their doctor or consultant.



What we can offer you

ONE TO ONE
Hydrotherapy Pool

Your physiotherapist will be with you in the water and guide you through a rehabilitation programme to improve your mobility and / or aid your recovery following surgery or accident.

SELF TREATMENT

Your physiotherapist has set up a unique exercise plan for you and these sessions are a way for you to exercise with others but to your own programme.

BACK, HIP AND KNEE CLASSES

A structured approach to improving mobility. It is focused on the muscle groups that will help your back, hip and knees. Not too strenuous but sufficient to allow improvement in your movement.

GENTLY DOES IT CLASS

Feeling stiff, aches, generally not feeling too comfortable? - then this class is for you. Jayne will take you through a class designed to get the joints gently moving and this in turn helps the mobility.

AQUA AEROBICS CLASS

A full-blown exercise class that will stretch all your muscles and have you in fits of giggles. Jayne will make you work hard but the benefits are wonderful.
